Ehsan Rasa

Ehsan is a PhD student in Civil and Environmental engineering joining Dr. Scow lab to work on modeling of the VAFB site. Ehsan did his master's work here at the Civil and Environmental engineering department at UC Davis with Tom Young and Tim Ginn among others. His areas of interests involve groundwater and subsurface contaminant transport modeling, biodegradation kinetics, microbially remediation of petroleum contaminated groundwater and soil, numerical methods and experimental approaches, and environmental impact of Biofuels on environment and groundwater.
He is also interested in contaminants such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEXT), Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), tert-butyl alcohol (TBA), and their role on the environmental health problems and groundwater contamination.
