Scow Soil Microbial Ecology Lab

Deirdre Griffin

Research

My projects investigate:

  1. the effects of biochar on crop yields, soil nutrient cycling, and soil microbial communities in a field experiment (Griffin et al., 2017),
  2. impacts of biochars on nodulation of legumes by rhizobia bacteria,
  3. how wetting patterns in subsurface drip irrigation impacts soil microbial communities, nutrient transformations, and soil carbon storage (Field day handout).
